It provides a comprehensive account of the history of Greenland, including the mission carried out by the United Brethren in that country. The book is divided into two volumes, with the first volume covering the history of Greenland from its discovery by the Norsemen to the arrival of the Moravian missionaries in the 18th century. The second volume focuses on the mission of the United Brethren, who sought to bring Christianity to the Inuit people of Greenland.
