The Studio is an organization dedicated to critically chronicling and sharing the region’s social history in order to foster sense of place. The Studio enacts its mission in various programming efforts, beginning with walking tours and interviewing individuals who have been referred to us, and later creating exhibits and publishing books. The Studio’s mission is about gathering history in addition to sharing information, so whenever possible our projects employ a participatory approach.
