A large folio edition of The History of the Old and New Testament by Sieur de Royaumont, published in London in 1699. This is the second edition, corrected, and is extensively illustrated with 234 engraved plates depicting biblical scenes, together with three maps, including a large folding map. There is moderate to heavy foxing and age toning throughout, along with occasional staining, including to the title page and some leaves. The paper shows expected age-related wear, but the text and engravings remain clearly legible throughout. A substantial late 17th-century illustrated biblical work, notable for its large format and extensive engraved content.…
