Collated complete. Binding secure, with slight rubbing and fading to covers. Interior well-preserved, offsetting to the plates, the map with two short tears to the folds. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown.

Notes: A seminal work of local British history written by John Nelson and first published in 1811. The book is noted for capturing Islington at a critical turning point - just as it transitioned from a rural, idyllic village of agricultural workers and historic inns into a densely populated suburb of late-Georgian London.
