Printed in Philadelphia by Everts, Peck and Richards. 1886, 2 volumes, 1602 total pages, 11 x 8 hardcover cloth folios with gilt lettering and front board designs. Overall very good, with minor rubbing and wear to boards and spine, primarily along edges and corners. Light loss to cloth on spine of Volume I. Hinges remain in good condition with minimal wear and text blocks remain bound well. Light markings and marginalia. Nicely illustrated throughout, including with maps at the front of Volume I. Gilt edges to pages. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and complete account of the history of 5 counties in Central Pennsylvania, along with genealogical records of their early settlers. A beautiful set for display or reference.
