3 volume set: (Volumes 2 & 3 bound as one). 1698. Vol. I Printed by W. Olney for Sam Briscoe in Covent Garden and R. Wellington at the Lute in St. Paul's Churchyard. Vol. II Printed for Samuel Briscoe at the Corner of Charles Street in Covent Garden. Vol. III printed for Sam Briscoe in Russel Street, Covent Garden. Including 6 books in 2 volumes. Volume I: Book 1 and 2 pp270, book 3 pp196 this volume is complete with folding map of ancient Sicily in lovely condition. Volume II: Books 4 and 5, pp304. Volume III contains book 6 "never before printed, by another hand" pp93 complete with foldout map of ancient Greece again in lovely condition. Both vols contemporary full calf binding with gilt lettering to spine. Vol I, some shelf wear to top of spine, splitting down edge of spine with leather strip over bottom of spine. Some age marks and wear on spine and rubbing/fading to gilt. Tiny sign of intrepid book worm. Vol II, same condition as above, although spine has separated somewhat from front board and leather on front board his lifted a little , but binding holding nicely. Assumed same intrepid book worm has left tiny hole through all pages. Inside contents of both volumes are in incredibly good condition with only slight aging to pages considering age.
