Scuffed and rubbed boards decorated in gilt around margins; the font board of vol 1 slightly wobbly; faded leather spines with five raised bands, missing their leather labels, each with a superficial 3 cm crack top center; the spines' four hinges cracked but string binding uncompromised. Internally 9cm x 6 cm water mark in vol 1affects top of ffep and first blank and next two pages, as far as title page; remaining contents clean, tight and unmarked, as is the contents of vol 2 save for a 1 cm touch of worm in margin of several pages. Pp xx, 411, + (5). Pp xxv, (1) + 550 + (4). Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
