Volumes one and two are later states lacking the portraits. Volumes bound in full contemporary calf. The spines in six compartments with five raised bands. Volume Eight with a cracked top hinge. Internally very good with occasional foxing and stains. Over-all a pleasing set, hard to find together. Each volume measures 20 x 12 x 2.5 5.5 cm. Each leaf measures 195 x 110 mm.
