A HISTORY OF ROME From its Origins to 529 A.D. As Told by the Roman Historians. Moses HadasG. Bell & Sons Ltd. (Editor) 1958 First U.K. Edition 232pp Illustrated Hardback. This uncommon copy has a neat signature of ownership to the f.e.p, but is otherwise unmarked, square bright and tight. The unclipped dustwrapper has one or two crimps to the edges but is still VERY GOOD+. The editor has adopted a novel approach to this history of classical Rome in that his sources are the writings of Roman historians such as Livy, Julius Caesar, Tacitus, Suetonius, Eusebius and others who chronicle a continuous commentary on Rome's history from its beginnings to the time of Justinian. Ref S3.
