Day approaches education with Rousseauvian ideals, following a spoilt but noble boy and his poor but virtuous friend.Bookplate of Egerton Parker to the front paste down. Parker was a teacher and house master at Hereford Cathedral School for over twenty years. Generally known as Ege Parker, he was passionate about the study of history. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Red marks to the boards. Minor bumping to the extremities. A very small amount of loss to the rear board. Very light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Numerical ink to the head of the front board. Front hinge is starting but firm. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound, in Volume II page 52/53 deatching, pages 97 to 104 are detached but present. Pages are bright and generally clean with some occasional spots. Closed tear to page 101/102 of Volume II. CHip to the bottom margin of page 5/6 in Volume I, with no loss of text. Good. Seller Inventory # 848P35
