Hardcover; no dustjacket, as issued. Well-respected Civil War unit history. Part of the Iron Brigade. Bound in blue decorated cloth. Illustrated with tissue-protected B&W photos, and one fold-out battle map (Gettysburg). Presentation slip (not filled-out) tipped in at the front. Overall, this is a bright, fairly clean copy. There is some age-darkening/discoloration along ~1" of the front board fore-edge (perhaps shows up in the photo a bit better than to the naked eye) , a fairly light ~dime size stain on the rear board, just a couple tiny rub marks. Some very light rubbing at the very tips of the corners. Some age-darkening to the endpapers. The pages are perhaps just a bit age-toned, but less than typically expected.
