The 2 volumes complete of the 16th & 17th centuries have XVI pages of preface each and a total of 686 pages inc indices. Green buckram and with handled but complete dustwrappers the 3rd volume, being part 2 only of the 18th century with 404 pages + preface, is in similar and uniform condition, there are illustrations of instruments and machinery also photos throughout all 3 books. The neat ink signature of M. O. Holbrook 1967 on endpapers, not unsightly. NOT ex-library. Small compact octavo. 1962. (3).

We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.…
