A wonderful historical treasure. Although this is Part I of the History of the Seven Years, War, it is Vol II of the posthumous works of Frederick (spelled Frederic here) II, King of Prussia. The book is 8 " by 5 1/4", weighs a hair over 1 lb. , and is bound in full leather, The binding looks a bit worn , especially the top of the spine, but it is sound. The book interior has a small bit of foxing, not enough to be bothersome, and occasional stains, nothing major. The pages have a built-in wave, not the result of water damage (for which I see no evidence) , but perhaps caused by some sort of pressure, or perhaps by the paper itself puckering a little as it dried out in the manufacturing process. A large number of pages are spotlessly clean. You will enjoy the look and feel of this book, although the binding could certainly use repair.

Terms of sale
In addition to payment through Abebooks (the preferred method), payment can be
made via Paypal or personal check or money order for US transactions only. All international sales must be conducted through Abebooks. Paypal does not adjust the exchange rate.
In January 2016 the US postal service changed international shipping rates. Books weighing 2 lbs. or less (packed for shipping) ship at a reasonable rate. The rate for books over this weight has gone up dramatically. For this reason, the bookseller may contact you for extra funds for shipping. This will occur if the book is inexpensive but overweight. You have the opportunity to decline, in which case the sale will be cancelled and your credit card will not be processed.
Checks should be made payable to Lucy Horton. All books are selected and packed with care.
Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books
weighing 2 lbs.(.09 kg). If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may
contact
you to let you know extra shipping is required.
