*HARDBACK,This is a very nice hardback with pictorial boards and decorated red, white & blue flag endpapers. On the presentation page (before the title page), it states to Isaline Gilghrist and is dated 1898. On the back of this same page is a stamp of the former owner's name. Has lots of magnificent engravings and 8 different cruisers, battleships etc. of the US during the Spanish-American War. Very nicely illustrated throughout. Marbled look on all page edges. A nice book showing some edge wear, bumped and frayed corners and spine edges. Darkening and fading on the boards. Slight staining and soiling. It really is a nice old book.
