Copyright date is 1956, first U.S. edition translated from French to Englis. Green cloth over boards with gilt lettering and design on the front and the spine. Illustrated through out with black and white photos and drawings. NO JACKET. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and toe of the spine is minor with light bumps to the head and toe of the spine. Back board shows some light soiling and scratches. Text and illustrations are bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid scarce book on self winding watches from 1770 to 1931. Size: 4to - over 9" x 12" Tall.
