About the Author
Maisel moved to the Army Air Mobility Research and Development Laboratory at the NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California, and became a member of the NASA/Army project team that developed the XV-15 tilt rotor research aircraft. He has authored over 20 papers and technical reports on the design, performance, acoustics, and operations of the tilt rotor aircraft. He is also a licensed private pilot.
Giulianetti has had a 42 year career as a Government research engineer. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was a senior staff engineer in the Advanced Tiltrotor Transport Technology Office. He is currently a consultant to the Eloret Institute in Sunnyvale, CA.
Dugan graduated from West Point in 1955 and began his Army aviation career. He is currently on the staff of the rotorcraft division at Ames Research Center and is assigned to a civil tilt rotor team for the development of tilt rotor displays, symbology, and operational procedures. He holds airline transport pilot certificates for both airplanes and helicopters and has accumulated over 7000 hours of flight time.
