About the Author

Born in Pomona, CA to a single mother, David was raised in a home of drug use and child abuse. He found solace in writing fictional tales, poems and music to free himself. His world was in his own mind. Fantasy became reality when he left home. However, drugs and alcohol were part of his life and took control. After college, he entered into the Sheet Metal Trade, where the money flowed as freely as the liquor and drugs. With the death of his step father and life falling apart, David became more desperate to lose himself. Soon, his reality was found in the hands of being a homeless alcoholic and drug addict. After several failed relationships and a short stay in jail, David found himself in a place of disparity. He knew his only way out was through professional help and his faith in Islam. With help David has begun a journey of self discovery. He found a way to release the demons and let his inner child develop through writing, art, photography, journaling, music, meditation and prayer.
