Synopsis
Hit the Ground Crawling gives men a realistic idea of what to do and what to expect when their baby arrives. It covers issues that more than 150,000 attendees of the nation s largest fatherhood program, Boot Camp for New Dads®, have found important, including tips for work/life balance, finances, getting hands-on with your baby, what s going on with the new mom in your life, what men bring to raising children, what raising children does for men and more. With its respectful, sometimes humorous approach, BCND has been called a nursery in a locker room , which is exactly the feel you ll get from Hit the Ground Crawling: Lessons From 150,000 New Fathers
About the Author
Greg Bishop, with 12 brothers and sisters and four kids of his own, had changed a lot of diapers when he started Boot Camp for New Dads in 1990. He thought that men would get a good start as fathers if they were able to get some practical information from other dads, so he invited a few dads-to-be to the local hospital where they were joined by men and their babies. Today, he and hundreds of other Boot Camp coaches conduct workshops in 44 states and the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force. Greg Bishop and Boot Camp for New Dads® (aka Daddy Boot Camp®) have been featured in Time, Newsweek, Parents, Ladies Home Journal, Marie Claire, Glamour, US News and World Report, Readers Digest, on The Today Show, CNN, ABC World News, Good Morning America, Live with Regis & Kelly, and on Baby Center, iVillage, Baby Zone and SheKnows.
