The Hit That Wasn’t (Ruthless Blood Series)

She saw something she was never meant to see.

Back in Palermo for a funeral she never wanted to attend, Sera D’Angelo finds herself in the wrong place at the worst possible moment. One night changes everything, and suddenly the city she thought she had left behind no longer feels like a place she can safely escape.

Matteo was sent to handle the problem.

He is controlled, dangerous, and used to finishing what other men only whisper about. But from the moment he meets Sera, nothing goes the way it should. She is too sharp, too calm, too difficult to break, and the more time he spends near her, the more dangerous the situation becomes for both of them.

What begins as a threat turns into a fragile alliance. What should have ended quickly becomes something neither of them can control. And as old power starts to move in the shadows, Sera and Matteo are forced into a world where trust can get you killed, and desire can ruin everything.

The Hit That Wasn’t is a dark romantic suspense novel filled with slow-burn tension, hidden danger, emotional intensity, and the kind of chemistry that turns survival into something far more complicated.
