This 50th Anniversary book is a rare set, including the two piece gold hard cover book set, The book is in great condition, no wear or tears, and the text blocks are gold painted. This is very Rare and Highly Collectable 50 th Anniversary, Gold Edition version of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Copywrite 1966. This highly sought after collectable measures 9½" tall, is 7" wide and about 1½" thick. The case is solid Gold in color with The Hobbit 50 th Anniversary logo on the front. Opening the shrink wrap you'll find a 320 page Gold Bound Hobbit with Red and Green gilded writing on spine as well as Red & Green writing on the front cover. The back of the book contains a fully illustrated 9" by 14" map of Wilderland. This is a very rare set.
