First Tove Jansson illustrated edition, text in Swedish. Bound in publisher's illustrated paper covered boards over green cloth spine lettered in gilt. Good with lean to binding, staining to spine cloth and fading and soiling to covers, wear to corners and spine ends. Former owner name to front free endpaper and repaired tear to rear pastedown. Illustrated by the creator of the Moomins, Tove Jansson, perfectly pairing a dream-like Nordic influence with Tolkien's iconic fantasy.
