About the Author
Carol Ekarius has spent more than 25 years raising cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, mules, donkeys, poultry and fowl. In the process she has become a leading writer on sustainable agriculture and hobby farming, emphasizing practices that are good for environment and the farmer's bottom line. She has become a leading writer on the subject, and is a regular contributor to Hobby Farms magazine. She is also the author of Small-Scale Livestock Farming: A Grass-Based Approach for Health, Sustainability, and Profit, and co-author of How to Build Animal Housing. She and her husband Ken, live on a 25-acre farm near Colorado Springs.
