Este es un ejemplar de la primera y controvertida traducción de Tolkien al español, por Fabril Editora en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1964. Sin el prestigio y la reputación que tiene el autor en estos tiempos, la traductora, Teresa Sanchez Cueva, se tomó libertades para traducir nombres de criaturas y personajes traicionando la intención del filólogo, que protestó directamente con el editor por estas malas decisiones. No fue un éxito de ventas, y el ejemplar, nunca se reeditó, incluso la editorial, que había comprado los derechos para publicar la Trilogía de el Señor de los Anillos, los cedió para ser publicados mucho más tarde. Ejemplar muy difícil de encontrar. Buen estado general, marcas en el laminado de tapa y contratapa This is a copy of the first and controversial translation of Tolkien into Spanish, by Fabril Editora in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1964. Without the prestige and reputation that the author has in these times, the translator, Teresa Sanchez Cueva, took liberties to translate names of creatures and characters betraying the intention of the philologist, who protested directly with the editor for these bad decisions. It was not a sales success, and the copy was never reprinted, even the publisher, who had bought the rights to publish the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, gave them up to be published much later by other publisher. Very rare to find copy. Fair condition, good in general, marks on coated on cover and back cover.
