Hodgepodge: A Random Collection of Poems and Songs Like Nothin' You've Ever Read

Have you ever come to the end of a road that when you stopped and looked both ways, you soon realize that no matter which way you turn you know that you're going to find something new and adventurous? I know I have. As you're traveling through the Southwest, you decide to stop for a picture while driving through Monument Valley. While you're looking around for that perfect shot, you start talking to an old Navajo Indian that ended up telling you a beautiful story of her people. Or you could be stopped for a bite to eat or for a little rest before you hit the road again when a piece of tumbleweed crosses your path. So many marvelous things await us around every bend of the road.

Well, Jerry D Jackson's latest book, Hodgepodge, is a beautiful book of poetry containing 117 poems that are sure to make you laugh, crack a smile, or one or two might even make you cry a little tear. In addition, his purpose for writing this book will be accomplished if one or more of his poems evoke some of your own personal memories of days gone by.

Mr. Jackson has indicated that like other authors, he has written every single poem in his book, Hodgepodge, based on his own personal memories, some of his life's adventures, and travels.

Just like the road talked about in the first paragraph, the poems and songs you're about to read in his book, Hodgepodge, will take you on trips like none you've ever taken it.
