Uniformly bound in three quarter polished calf and marbled paper, marbled endpapers, all page edges marbled, bindings tight, raised bands on gilt decorated spines, all spine labels intact [no chips], illustrated throughout, with frontis-pieces intact. Front cover on the Third Series is nearly detached, all covers show edge and corner wear. Bookplate for "du Gillon" in each volume, as well as a penciled signature from another owner.
