Hold On

Hold On: God is in Control – A Collection of Uplifting Sermons for Trying Times was written with a single purpose: to uplift, inspire, and strengthen the faith of readers as they journey through life’s most challenging seasons. In these pages, Rev. Dr. Kenneth D. Phelps reminds us that faith is not only built in times of calm; it is shaped and tested in the midst of life’s fiercest storms. True faith stands firm, even when our path is unclear and the challenges seem insurmountable.

The sermons in this collection were delivered at Concord Missionary Baptist Church during periods of both local and global crisis. They offer more than encouragement; they are reminders of God’s steadfast presence and His strength, which remains constant even when we may feel uncertain. These messages urge us to hold onto faith, trust in God’s guidance, and walk forward with hope, no matter how dark the journey may seem.

Dr. Phelps hopes that these words will serve as a source of resilience for readers and an invitation to be a beacon of hope to others. With God, all things are possible, and we are never alone, even in the hardest of times. Stand firm, live by faith, and let this collection remind you that, above all, God is in control.
