Bible section is 835 pages, Helps section is 121 pages, plus 12 maps beyond that. Black leather binding with gilt titles "Holy Bible with Helps" to cover and spine, edges gilt when closed. Binding split at spine and fragile; cover partially detached and would benefit from professional reinforcement or rebinding. ~ Contains Old and New Testaments with illustrations, self-pronouncing text, and extensive study aids under Nelson's "Helps" section. Thumb-indexed tabs provide easy reference throughout, and twelve color maps appear at the rear. ~ Includes family record pages filled in by the Lovella P. Gratton family of Ann Arbor, Michigan, recording deaths dated from 1927 through the mid-1950s-a poignant trace of ownership that lends a sense of continuity and devotion. ~ Interior pages remain generally clean and legible, showing some age toning consistent with a late-Victorian or early-1900s Nelson issue (comparable to Bibles dated 1890-1905). ~ An inspiring artifact of faith and family life, suitable for preservation, study, or sympathetic restoration. It would make a thoughtful keepsake for those who value the history of devotional books and their place in daily life.…
