Holy, But Not Perfect

From the walls of a jail cell to the pulpit of a church, Holy But Not Perfect is the powerful true story of Rev. Dr. Mancil Carroll III's journey from brokenness to redemption. Once a young preacher, he spiraled into addiction, crime, and prison-convinced that his failures had forever disqualified him. But in the darkest moment, God reminded him through Romans 11:29 that "the gifts and calling of God are without repentance." That reminder became the turning point for a life transformed by grace. Through raw testimony and biblical insight, this book shows how God uses imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will. From receiving an expungement that mirrored the gospel's promise of forgiveness, to reclaiming lost years through education and ministry, Mancil's story proves that scars are not disqualifications-they are credentials of survival. Holy But Not Perfect is a message of hope for anyone who feels unworthy, ashamed, or beyond God's reach. You don't have to be flawless to be faithful. You don't have to be perfect to be holy-you just have to be His.
