Illustrated by eminent artists and engraved by The Brothers Dalziel, George and Edward, who developed a prolific wood-engraving business in Victorian London. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities resulting in minor loss to the board tips. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Cracks to the joints. Hinges just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Good.
