Home Based Speech and Language Development: A Guide for Parents of Late Talkers

International speech and language consultant Marci Melzer (USA) has teamed up with Dr. Deepthi Raju (India) to create a guide for parents and caregivers of late talking children.

Parents can use these resources to facilitate faster speech and language development than relying on speech therapy.

Unfortunately, the popular verbal-behavior therapy models encourage parents to CONTROL their child’s language learning through bribes, manipulation, sign language, PECS, and endless requests and prompts to imitate or “use their words”.

If you've already tried using reinforcement to make kids talk (or fired a therapist who did) then you know how easy it is for a smart late-talker to understand when they are being controlled, and quickly turn the tables with bigger behavior and manipulative tactics of their own.

We help you understand that ALL of your child’s behavior is communication and HELP the late talker in your life to EVOLVE from limited behaviors, sounds, and scripts as they start using REAL language to share their big ideas and feelings.

This guide will equip and empower parents and caregivers to model the RIGHT speech and language, because it shows you how to discover and teach the words, phrases, and sentences that your child wants and NEEDS to learn NOW
