London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1920. Fourth Impression (stated). 8vo. xv,301pp, Index. With 50 illustrations (nearly all photographs). Original red cloth, gilt letters and image on front cover and spine. Very good condition, spine quite faded, head of spine slightly worn, name in pencil on front endpaper, interior clean, two corners crimped; no dj. Gertrude Jekyll (1843-1932) horticulturist, influential garden designer, artist, created over 400 gardens in UK, Europe, and America, whose creations used color, harmony, and texture, resulting in a harmonious landscape. She authored several books and over 1,000 articles in magazines.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
