In the past fifty years, our society has turned on the air conditioner, shut the front door, and replaced hospitality with a 21-inch screen. We've abandoned our porches and moved into a lifestyle that leaves little time for us and even less for others. Finding ourselves caught up in the pace of a microwave society, we often wish we had time to get to know our neighbors or invite a friend over for coffee. We long to slow down, sit down, and just visit for a while.
Homemade Hospitality will show readers that it doesn't take a lot of time, effort, or money to open their doors and their hearts to others. Through personal stories and practical suggestions, readers will be challenged to return to a simpler lifestyle that allows them to welcome guests into their homes, offering acceptance, joining in laughter, and sharing the love of Christ.
