Homeopathy and its Principles Explained. By John Epps and printed in London by W. & J. Piper. 1850. [16] + 320 pp. 8.75 x 5.75. 8vo. Hardcover full cloth. In fair condition, with light scuffing to boards. Light losses at head and heel of spine. Some cracking to hinges around front and rear. Minor instances of wear throughout text block. Light markings, including name written on top of title page. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce work by John Epps on the alternative medicine pseudoscience of homeopathy. Epps (1805-1869) was a British physician and supporter of radical political causes, with his medical interests and beliefs in both homeopathy and phrenology. A prolific lecturer, he continued to give lectures on various medical subjects until his death, including from his home in his later years.
