Members of Homo sapiens are developing into a new creative species called Homo deva. The era of Homo deva will take us across a major evolutionary threshold, as people learn to express a full integration of intellect and higher intuition. About the Author

Mary Belknap trained as an educational psychologist and attorney. Over the past four decades, she has worked as a teacher, researcher, and administrator in juvenile justice and in social service agencies including homeless shelters, healthcare facilities, and private foundations.

After undergraduate studies at Stanford, Mary completed graduate programs at U.C. Berkeley (MPH, health education; Ph.D. with honors in educational psychology), and later received a J.D. from Georgia State University. She is a member of the California Bar (inactive), and is a longtime member of Mensa. In 1999-2000, Mary served as operations director for Family and Children s Services of Catholic Charities for San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties. During the eight years leading up to Autumn 2008, she worked as a catalyst in the financial services industry. In the past five years, 2010-2014, Mary focused on projects in her local community in areas of sustainability, healthcare for elders, and nurturing a better relationship of religion and spirituality.

Mary began studying human potential in 1973 as a member of a project on alternative approaches to medical education. For over 11 years, she published the H. D. Newsletter, which explored the emergence of a new humanity. Her writings and observation are based on 40 years of exploration at the frontiers of human development and cultural climax. She is founder and director of Lifethread Institute. Mary has five special links to the future of humanity—her daughter, granddaughter, and three nephews—plus many wonderful friends who all make this lifetime a journey of joy. Homo deva is her first book.
