About the Author
Virginia Ramey Mollenkott is the author or co-author of 13
books, including several on women and religion. She is a winner of the
Lambda Literary Award and has published numerous essays on literary
topics. Dr. Mollenkott has lectured widely on lesbian,
gay, and bisexual rights and has also been active in the transgender
cause, authoring Omnigender (revised and updated
version published in 2007), and serving as co-author of Transgender
Journeys (2003).
Letha Dawson Scanzoni is an independent scholar and writer specializing in the intersection between religion and social issues. She has written on such topics as feminism, relationships of love and
friendship, self-esteem and personal growth, human diversity, marriage
and family living, divorce, aging and caregiving, sexuality and gender,
sex ethics, social justice-oriented folk music, and physical and
psychological family violence. Ms. Scanzoni is the author or coauthor of nine books and is editor of Christian Feminism Today (formerly titled EEWC Update).
