Honest to God: Simple prayers in a complex world

Prayer is essential, like breath. Yet, you might have given up on it, felt awkward when trying, or unworthy of the audience. Perhaps you feel distant from God. This book of brief prayers is an invitation to communicate directly and simply with your Heavenly Father. Following the pattern Jesus taught his disciples, each prayer addresses a significant need. A suggested Scripture reference then guides you into a time of reflection, prompted by a question or suggested response. Six sections, each beginning with a short explanation, guide readers to participate in prayer rather than observe from a distance. This book is ideal for those who need help learning to pray and for believers whose attempts at finding time alone with God have been overwhelmed with busyness, distractions, or discouragement.
