A Hope Most Frail

The sequel to the best-selling novel "Captive Memory" finds Audrey Baker up against another threat in her hometown of Griffith Falls, Washington.

Officer Audrey Baker's life changed forever when her sister, Caitlyn disappeared. As a result, she became a policewoman in order to protect others and to try and keep the same tragedy happening to them. Now she must juggle her career with an ailing father and a relationship with the semi-famous author Ryan Darrow that's still a bit up in the air.

Not much happens in Griffith Falls, Washington, an idyllic mountain town known for its tourism. But Doug Jennings has come to town with a different ambition than sightseeing: he has followed his ex-girlfriend and her baby daughter here, and he won't stop until he gets them back, regardless of who tries to stand in the way. The good folks of Griffith Falls just want to help the young mother get back on her feet, but helping her find her way puts them in the path of a very dangerous man. They will fight to keep her safe, but will they risk their own lives in the process?

Jimmy Gear is finishing up his Master's in English. He enjoys staring at the wall for that one particular word he needs, posing for author photographs, and writing author biographies (for himself). He insists that he is finishing up his next novel so please approach him with caution. (And bring snacks, that always helps).
