To have the confidence and love of such men to the last after so many years, and to know by such proofs that you were present in their thoughts, as one who understood them, as one to be trusted in things most sacred to them and those whom they loved, is a comfort that outweighs a thousand harsh judgments of those who are hurrying selfishly through the world disturbed by the perplexities of daily life.
