Hopeful Things: A Collection of Poetry

We all my wonder at times what exactly is hope. Many of us want it in some fashion or another, and all of us need it, whether we realize it or not is another story entirely. Our lives are built from memories, experiences, friends, lovers, sadness, joy and so many other facets that we sometimes forget its foundation: Hope. What brings us to have the courage to venture out into tomorrow, to plan for a better day, to dream that all things are possible, not only for us, but for our loved ones and also for those whom we hope to love. Hope is all the things that we hold closest to us, let it be a stepping stone that brings us stronger out of grief and pain, and let it be the gates that brings us through to waking dreams and love’s subtle warmth.

An artist in words. Thoughts are all around us, whether we put them to work or leave them floating around, Garrett collides them together and paints them on a sheet of words. It's amazing what we can do with words; Garrett does it all the time by just looking at the culture and communities around him. I take that culture, society, and laughter to give it life on a page of words. Whether it's what people do, what they say, or a combination, thoughts can sometime make the most beautiful paragraphs. At the end of the day, Garrett does it all so that he can hang up the wonderful portrait of words on display, in a book, and in your heart. The thoughts that came to life. Enjoy it all! Garrett writes poetry, short fiction, and novels that take from the range of fantasy, science fiction, and most of life's circles.
