Award winning author, Diana Pishner Walker, was born in Clarksburg, WV. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg and attended Fairmont State College, Fairmont WV. She is a "Fast ForWord" computer aide at East Dale Elementary School in Clarksburg. Her book, Spaghetti & Meatballs: Growing Up Italian, was awarded a Mom's Choice Award, Readers' Favorite International Book Award, and Honorable Mentions in the London, Hollywood, and Southern California Book Festivals.
Diana's Italian roots run deep. Her maternal grandparents were from San Giovani in Fiore, Province of Cosenza, Italy. Her paternal grandparents were from Caulonia, Reggio Calabria Italy. She lives in Fairmont, WV with her family. For more information visit DianaPishnerWalker.com.
About the illustrator
Award-winning author and illustrator Ashley Teets is a 2012 summa cum laude graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College where she earned a B.F.A with a minor in creative writing. She has illustrated multiple award winning children's books that include seven Mom's Choice Awards, three Indie Book and an Indie Excellence Awards, an International Book Award, a USA News Best Book Award and two Creative Child Magazine Awards.
