Contents generally clean and tight but for minor soiling/spotting/creasing, minor splitting to hinges front and back, some pencil scribbles to back endpapers. Owners inscription inside front board, and name to title page. A useful collection of tables showing solid contents of pieces of timber, stone etc, superficial contents of boards, glass, painting, plastering etc. ''Contrived to answer all the occasions of gentlemen & artificers, far beyond any thing yet extant, the contents being given in feet, inches, quarters and twelfth parts of an inch''. With preface ''shewing the excellence of this new method of measuring, and some curious observations concerning measuringof timber by several dimensions''.
