The Horror Collection: Evil Edition

What is evil? Is it something supernatural that seeps into our world… or something far more human, lurking just beneath the surface?

In The Evil Edition, Kevin J. Kennedy assembles a relentless collection of dark tales that blur the line between monster and man. A grieving mother finds comfort in an artificial version of her dead child—until it begins to whisper deadly ideas. A detective uncovers a cult harbouring an unspeakable, otherworldly parasite, forcing him into an unthinkable act of mercy. Elsewhere, brutality is dressed up as ritual in a harvest of blood and bone, while a supposedly cursed object reveals a far more disturbing truth: sometimes the evil was there all along.

Across these stories, cruelty takes many forms. A petty thief learns the cost of betrayal. A seemingly harmless old woman steals something far more valuable than possessions. Obsession, revenge, and warped ambition spiral into violence as a musician turns on his critic, and a young girl conducts her own horrifying experiment to understand the nature of evil itself.

But darker forces are always waiting. Forgotten people become devoted to an ancient cryptid god. A desperate dancer unknowingly bargains with the devil. And one man, trapped in a night that endlessly repeats, discovers he is nothing more than a plaything in a far greater game.

Bleak, brutal, and unflinching, The Evil Edition asks a chilling question: when everything is stripped away, what truly defines evil—and how close are we to becoming it?
