About the Author
Ariana Strozzi Mazzucchi is an award winning author and pioneer in the field of equine therapies. She has been bringing the magic of horses as healers and teachers to people from all walks of life since 1989.She founded Equine Guided Education, now known as SkyHorse EGE™, and co-founded Strozzi Institute (aka Strozzi Somatics).
Ariana blends horse psychology, Holistic Somatics™, animal communication, horsemandhip, and embodied leadership into a unique and profound method for encourageing emotional intelligence, self-responsibility, non-verbal communication, authenticity, and intuition. She has trained people from around the world to incorproate horses into self-development models since 1998. She discovered early on that people are able to receive the reflections the horses provide about their presence and way of being in a much quicker and direct way than just working with a human coach or therapist.
A California native, Ariana began her horsemanship career at the age of 7. She has won championship awards in the english and western disciplines of Eventing, Dressage, Jumping, Reining, Working Cowhorse and Gymkhana. Ariana supported herself through college training horses and graduated from UC Davis in 1984 specializing in animal behavior and wildlife biology.
