Hot and Cold Stone Massage Therapy : A Guide to the Total Mind-Body Experience

Throughout time, stones have been used to practical advantage(such as heating homes) as well as the sublime(as essential elements in sacred rituals). Huge stone structures, from the prehistoric Stonehenge to the mysterious stone statues of Easter Island, continue to dazzle us today. Small stones, too, have also had their place in ritual and ceremony. For example, Native Americans have used hot stones in their sweat lodge ceremonies since ancient times.

As Ernesto Ortiz says, "A hot stone massage session has been described in many ways: delicious, decadent, sensual, totally relaxing, and deeply therapeutic; a moving experience, comforting, and, above all, healing." The experience will positively affect the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual of the recipient, and this, in turn, will effect ''The way we express and relate to the world.''

Up to now you would have had to head to an expensive spa to safely and enjoyably experience these benefits. Now, through the use of Mr. Ortiz's book you can have this spa experience in the comfort of your own home.
