Softcover without dust jacket. Mild wear noted to edges and corners. Previous owners name to title page written in pen, otherwise pages clean and unmarked and filled with B & W illustrations. The Book Two picks up where Book One left off. I begins before WWII into the Street Rod Era (Golden Age of the automobile). Many of the historical histories here are generally first person accounts the photos are usually simple snapshots as well from personal archives. Each story represents a milestone in automotive history. Popular historians are prone to rely too heavily on media and too little on contemporaries. All the people spotlighted were doers. They didn't sit around and wait for things to happen, they went out and made things happen. Which is, in the long run, the very essence of hot rodding.
