NOTE - THIS WAS A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES BY ODHAMS IN 1933 - COLLINS PURCHASED THE REPRINT RIGHTS IN 1936 AND ISSUED A COLLINS PRINTING IN 1936 (THAT 1ST "COLLINS" PRINTING IS FOUND IN MULTIPLE BOARD STOCK, THERE WAS "SHORT" HC PUBLISHED IN THE LATE 1930S AND A "UNIFORM EDITION" GREEN HC IN 1940 AND THEN (AS FAR AS I CAN TELL) NO MORE UK COLLINS HARDCOVERS UNTIL THIS 1965 PRINTING. UNTIL I CAME ACROSS THIS BOOK I THOUGHT AFTER 1940 THERE WAS NEVER ANOTHER UK COLLINS HARDCOVER OF THIS BOOK - AND THIS 1965 PRINTING MUST HAVE BEEN VERY VERY SMALL PRINTING (COUPLE HUNDRED COPIES AT MOST) - NEVER EVER SEEN AN EX-LIBRARY COPY OF ANY UK HARDCOVER OF THIS BOOK PUBLISHED AFTER 1940. Book has no former owner's markings inside, no tape residue or significant discoloration to endpapers (couple of stray/faint spots only), no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges, tight pages with several creased page corners, no wear to board edges (bit of shelf rubbing at bottom edges near spine), no wear to board corners, hint of wear to spine tips, tiny stain along top edge on rear panel otherwise no soiling or staining to boards, no spine sun fading, no bumped board corners. Dust jacket has nick losses at spine tips otherwise no chipping, tearing, or creasing, slight wear to spine tips, hint of wear to front flap crease (primarily at flap crease corners), no spine sun fading, barest hint of dust soiling to white rear panel, very faint stain outline along bottom edge on rear panel otherwise no soiling or staining to panels, no color rubbing to cover/spine (no cover gloss applied by publisher), almost no edge wear. Overall a VG+ book in FINE- condition dust jacket (not price clipped) of a rare 1960s era UK Agatha Christie printing.
