The House of the Good Neighbor: Small Acts, Big Heart: A Manual for the Kind Revolution

This is not a book about religion. It’s a book about responsibility.

A book for those who want to be good but aren’t sure if it’s worth it anymore.

Structured like a modern-day Book of Virtues, The House of the Good Neighbor delivers 28 sharp, heartfelt chapters—each focused on what it truly means to live with kindness, courage, and conscience in an exhausted world.

It’s part guide, part rally cry, part mirror.

Whether you're tired of cruelty in politics, lost in your personal life, or just wondering how to be a better human—this book is for you.

Jake Howard is not an author. He's not a poet. He's just a person who decided to try.
To try seeing people as neighbors before judging them.

To try observing the world before reacting to it.
To try questioning his own engrained thoughts and learning to respond with purpose instead of pattern.

He is not a religious man. He's not a perfect man. But he is someone who loves deeply—his family, animals, strangers he'll never meet. He believes in kindness, even when it's inconvenient. He believes the world can always be better than it is—and that it's on each of us to help make it that way.

Jake is someone who grew up in discomfort—not from a lack of love, but from an abundance of self-doubt. For decades, he didn't believe he had much to offer. That started to change in his 40s.
Thank you, Jenn, for being the spark.

He is a husband, a father, a musician with multiple releases, a vegetarian, and a man who finds peace in nature and honesty in the practice of showing up.

The House of the Good Neighbor is not his answer to everything. It's simply his way of starting the conversation.
