House of Lords

Wealthy and powerful but unsatisfied, Wall Street broker Jeffrey Blaine is hungry for an opportunity to take his life somewhere it's never been before -- an opportunity that arrives with four young mobsters at his daughter's star-studded eighteenth-birthday celebration. When a brutal outrage is perpetrated before the eyes of important media figures, a stranger steps forward to rescue Blaine's good name. But his mysterious "benefactor" -- the brilliant and coldly calculating Chet Fiore -- demands a payment for his intervention that would pull Blaine past the boundaries of everything that's legal and moral.

But Jeffrey Blaine didn't get where he is by being anyone's pawn, and he's soon turning a bad situation to his advantage. But to do so, he has to wade into very dark and turbulent waters, finding untapped strength in a frightening new "partnership" that could ultimately cost him much more than he can possibly afford ...
