About the Author

M. Anne Sweet is an artist and poet who has exhibited and performed throughout the Pacific Northwest. She maintains a working studio in the Georgetown area of Seattle, Washington, where her visual art pieces frequently combine her art and poetry. She is the recipient of several visual art and purchase awards. Sweet has over 45 years of experience in the field of graphic design, while serving as art director, editor, and general manager for the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association. As a poet, she has performed individually, as well as with The Seattle Five Plus One, Project Z, and the Daughters of Dementia. Literary credits include a previous book-length poetry collection, Nailed to the Sky (Gazoobi Tales), as well as three graphic poems in the genre of graphic novels. She is a past winner of the Bart Baxter Poetry in Performance Competition, as well as having numerous works in print and online. She is currently learning to play upright acoustic bass.
