House of Shattering Light: The Life & Teachings of a Native American Mystic

Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow, is one of the great, living visionaries in the Native American tradidion. House of Shattering LIght is Rael's personal story from his birth on the Ute land in Colorado to growing up at Picuris Pueblo in New Mexico to today as a visionary and mystic.

Over thirty years ago Joseph Rael was given a vision to build chambers where the vibration of peace would be planted by chanting the sounds of creation. Her was also given the vision to protect the purity of water on the planet. Today there are chambers in more than thirty countries where people gather to chant for Water at 7 o'clock on th 7th of every month.

Joseph Rael grew up on the Southern Ute lands in Colorado and the Picuris Pueblo in New Mexico. A teacher, storyteller and mystic, he combines his deep intuitive understanding of the pulsating energy of the universe with ancient Native American teachings on sound and vibration. For the last twenty years Rael s personal mystical vision has led him to construct "sound chambers" where people of all faiths gather to chant for peace. To date, there are more than forty of these chambers around the world. As a Native American elder, Rael has been invited to speak before the United Nations on world peace and to address the Pentagon on the role of the warrior in the modern world. Rael received a masters in political science from the University of Wisconsin and went on to study for his Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico but then "left to find my spiritual calling in a different kind of Ph.D., a study of the doctrines that lie within the land and the sky."
